OTL Mix Tape - Side A

Before there were iPods (and CDs!)I’ve always loved all types of music. From ‘80s dance hits to classic rock, it’s hard to find a song to which I don’t want to sing along. Yet ever since college, I’ve been pretty hooked on country. You see, growing up people just didn’t listen to country. We didn’t even have a station! But as soon as I started cruising through upstate NY with the country station blaring, well, I was sold.

Which is why writing about Piper and crew was just so much fun. Ever since Piper popped into my head, I knew she was a tough-as-nails-I’m-gonna-do-things-my-way kind of girl. The perfect combination of pop and country.

That is why for the OTL mix tape I’ve selected a bunch of country, mixed up with some current favorites and island classics. Because while Piper might live in the South, she’s still an island girl at heart.
